Hungarian Gém Glider by Ottó Röser ~1949

Norbert Farkas of Hungary gifted me a glider at the Italian SAM Champs in June.  The color scheme was kept secret until he presented it to me.

At the 2025 European SAM Champs in Molinella, Italy Norbert Farkas of Hungary presented this model to me. The name Gém is pronounced like the English word game and means Heron. The color scheme was a closely guarded secret and only revealed when he presented the model to me. It is a delight to fly. Dr. Röser's first name is listed last. It's the Hungarian convention that was frustrating when my luggage was lost enroute to Budapest because the late actor Charles Patrick RYAN O'Neal had popularized the use of his grandmother's maiden name, and my surname, as a given name. So, dressing it up in the livery of Europe's biggest airline had us all laughing. It will be available soon as a laser kit. ~Tom
