Middle Wallop December 2005

Here is a short movie of Model Flying at the International Coupe d'Hiver meeting held at Middle Wallop on 4 December 2005. (BBC South 6/12/05, copyright waived)

Various Power and Vintage classes were also flown that day as well as a general Sports Fly-in.

The weather was absolutely splendid and there were many people in attendance as can be seen in the video and particularly from the number of cars on the flight line.

The Paul Plecan Tornado II is almost complete. I have one rotten job to do - make a wind shield!

I have to be in a good mood to tackle that job. I am just about running out of steam on this project.

Small Electric Lanzo Airborn

Bucky,

We got our big snow just before Christmas on Long Island. Attached are a
couple of shots of our 24 inches --- what a mess! Fortunately yesterdays
storm passed south of us and into the Atlantic.

I just finished a reduced size replica old timer that might interest you. It
is Chet's AIRBORN, done at 200 square inches and weighing just 6.8 ounces
with 17 watts input power. This was scaled down from Jim O'Reilly 1/2A
Texaco plans and will be in the March issue of RC MICRO WORLD. This is the
fourth in my series, previously I did the PLAYBOY CABIN (which is now
available as a kit), Lanzo BOMBER and Gil Morris' KERSWAP. We are hoping to set up
a nationwide postal contest for this size old timer aircraft.

Vic Smeed Popsie Part 1

Hi Guys,

Tom Ryan's late Xmas gift for Ole Bucky came from England. It arrived on Ground Hog Day! The box had a long crush mark on the cover, but everything was A-OK inside the box. Great packing job with corrugated paper.

As you can see from the photos all the parts are laser cut and a complete set of hardware is included. Tom told me he removed the clunky wheels. He did not like them and he is going to send me a set of wheels he likes. The kit includes three sets of CAD plans with complete instructions.

Also, Tom told me the kit has been renamed the Aesop but is in fact a re-engineered Vic Smeed Popsie.

It will be my next project.
